History of Kohkin Chemical 1965〜
- 1967
Apothekernes Laboratorium granted sole distributorship in Japan for zinc bacitracin.
In 1967, the company signed an agreement on the sole distributorship in Japan with Apothekernes Laboratorium (A/L), the world's largest manufacturer of feed-grade bacitracin in Norway.
- 1969
"Kohkin Association," a national association of veterinary drug distributors, formed
In the late 1960s, Kohkin Chemical celebrated the 15th anniversary of its foundation and continued to grow steadily with an expanding sales channel as a company specializing in pharmaceutical products and feed additives for animals. To further expand and structurally strengthen the sales channel, the veterinary medicine division formed the "Kohkin Association" as a national organization of distributors in 1969.

Founder Sotogoro Tamaru became chairman, and Heishiro Tamaru succeeded him as president
In January 1971, Kohkin Chemical established a chairman system to renovate and strengthen its business management; Sotogoro Tamaru assumed the position of chairman of the board, and Heishiro Tamaru was appointed as president and director.

AEC granted Kohkin Chemical sole distributorship in Japan for their feed additives
Kohkin Chemical signed a sole distributorship agreement with AEC (later Rhône-Poulenc Animal Nutrition), which was a world leading vitamin/amino acid manufacturer that had not started business in Japan at the time. From that time onward, vitamins AD, E, and B12 were imported constantly.
- 1975
New Osaka Plant
In December 1973, a 5000-liter large Nauta mixer was installed in the Osaka Plant to increase the manufacturing capacity. On February 11, 1975, construction of a new plant was started in the premises across the road from the Osaka Plant.
- 1984
Kyushu Plant construction completed
In March 1984, the 4-story Kyushu feed additive plant (building area 1978 m2, total area 2769 m2, manufacturing capacity 600 tons/month) was built in Sueyoshi-cho, Soo-gun near the border between Kagoshima and Miyazaki prefectures; the plant started operations in April of the same year.

Kyushu Veterinary Drug Plant construction completed
In November 1987, a GMP-conforming plant for veterinary medicines (building area 1688 m2, total area 2943 m2) was built in the vicinity of the Kyushu Plant.
